Welcome to the Rogers-Herr Battle of the Books Wiki!
We will use this page so our "experts" on each book can share what they know, and everyone else can at least have some knowledge of all the books.
If you have not yet turned in a permission slip and plan to go to the competition tomorrow, please bring in both forms below completed!

You guys have been doing a really great job of adding information and comments to encourage each other (at least most of them are encouraging)! What would be great now as you are reading and re-reading books this weekend is to revist the pages for those books and add in a bit more information (especially in the Problems and Interesting Details sections--things that questions might be asked about) so they are more complete. A couple that really need some work:
- The Wright 3
- Children of the River (I don't think anything has been written on this page!)
- Journey to the River Sea
- Gentle's Holler (and I know a few of you are currently reading this--please try to finish this weekend, so perhaps a couple others can take it home Monday night to look over too!)
- The Other Side of Truth
- Cuba 15
- Treasure Island
Also, begin to look over the pages, especially of the books you've read (to refresh your memory) but also of the others to familiarize yourself with the plot of each book. Just be careful not to confuse yourselves!
Practice Monday afternoon until 4pm (hopefully everyone can make it!)--we can also meet during the 6th grade Core Plus time (12:10-12:50, or something like that) if you want--7th and 8th grade students I'll email your teachers to see if permission to do so would be granted.
If you have not yet turned in your permission slip, it MUST be turned in Monday for you to go--I can't accept them Tuesday morning. I'll post another copy on this page later today when I am on my school computer just in case you need it.
Keep up the good work!!

I think we have enough people who have read fever 1793. We need people to read books that haven't been read that much like Gentle's Holler.

Journey to the River Sea was a really good book, and I don't think many people have read that.

Yes, after you get to school (two hours later than usual...by 9:20) report to your first teacher for attendance then come to the media center WITH YOUR THINGS and we will leave as soon as possible! I have your t-shirts, but they are short sleeved, so you might want to wear a long sleeved shirt that you can just put the other shirt over.
